ProTube — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ProTube (“ProTube”, “we”, “us”, or “the app”) handles information when you use the ProTube application (package com.protube.app) for Android. By using ProTube, you agree to this Policy.

ProTube is a lightweight video player and web browser, designed to collect as little personal information as possible.

1. Information we do not collect

ProTube does not require an account. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, or precise (GPS) location. ProTube has no servers of its own that store your personal data.

2. Information stored on your device

To make the app work, ProTube stores the following only on your device — it is not sent to us:

• Watch and browsing history within the app
• Favorites / saved items
• App settings and preferences (language, theme, playback options, etc.)

You can delete this data at any time via Settings → Clear data, or by uninstalling the app.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

ProTube displays ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and process:

• Your device’s Advertising ID (AAID)
• Device information (model, operating system, language, etc.)
• Approximate location derived from your IP address (not precise GPS)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

This information is collected and shared with Google acting as an advertising partner, and may be used to show personalized or non-personalized ads. Learn more:

4. Consent (GDPR — EEA, UK, Switzerland)

Where required by law, ProTube uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent before ads are personalized. You can review or change your choices at any time via Settings → Privacy options in the app.

5. Your choices and rights

• Advertising ID: reset it or opt out of ad personalization in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
• Consent: change or withdraw ad consent via the in-app Privacy options (where available).
• Local data: clear it anytime via Settings → Clear data.

Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR/EEA, UK, or CCPA/California), you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Because we do not hold your personal data on our own servers, such requests mainly relate to data processed by Google as our advertising partner; you can use the controls above or contact us.

6. Third-party content

ProTube lets you open third-party websites and services. Those services are operated by others and have their own privacy policies and terms. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies.

7. Children

ProTube is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data security

Data stored on your device is protected by your device’s own security. Ad-related data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
